研究概要：人文地理学・ポリティカル・エコロジーを専門とし、環境・エネルギーをめぐる権力・不正義の空間政治に関心を持っています。これまでの研究では、市民・地域主体のエネルギー管理、エネルギー貧困、そして放射性廃棄物管理を主なテーマとして取り上げてきました。いずれのテーマにおいても、現代の環境・エネルギー問題がどのような社会構造・権力構造のもとで形成されているかを批判的に問い、そこに潜む不正義を可視化し、その是正に向けた実践と概念化の可能性を考察することを研究の軸としています。

Research: Hayato’s research sits at the intersection of human geography and political ecology, with a focus on the spatial politics of power and injustice surrounding environmental and energy issues. His previous work has centred on community-based energy governance, energy poverty, and radioactive waste management. Across these themes, his research critically interrogates the social and power structures that shape contemporary environmental and energy problems, seeks to render visible the injustices embedded within them, and explores the possibilities for practices and conceptualisations that might work towards addressing them.
